At Chalk Valley we do our level best to source organic ingredients whenever the season or cost allows.  We are of a strong belief that food free from harmful pesticides, fungicides, insecticides and inorganic fertilisers are better for you and better for the environment.

However, sometimes we think that instead of flying an organic lettuce thousands of miles it is better to source a conventionally-grown one locally.  Indeed there are some ingredients that we cannot source organically at any time of the year.  We will always try and get organic and local when and where ever we can and we will support farmers that use restorative and regenerative farming techniques.

Listed below are ingredients that we try and guarantee all year round.  Generally speaking if we state ingredients as organic and we can’t source either them or conventionally grown alternatives locally then we take them off the menu all together until we can.  Please check our menu board and leaflets for further information.
